Principal's Message From Vernon Orndorff

Welcome back to another great school year at Indian Trails. I am looking forward to working with the best faculty and staff in the State of Florida. I have been told that this years 7th and 8th grade class at Indian Trails will be the best group of students that has passed through these hallways. We are very fortunate to have this opportunity to educate the very best 7th and 8th grade scholars of Flagler County. The ITMS Professional Educators are excited to have the opportunity to provide each student with a dynamic, engaging, 21st century lesson on a daily basis.

The Big "3" will be the expectation at Indian Trails Middle School. The Big "3" states - Do what is right, Do your best and Treat others the way you want to be treated. The Big "3" will be posted and communicated throughout the entire school year. All shareholders of ITMS will model The Big "3" each day. The first day of school is Monday, August 23rd, 2010. School will begin at 7:30 a.m. and dismissal will be at 2:15 p.m. We will have two locations for morning drop-off for car riders. The drop-off areas will be at the North and South entrances of the school. The south side entrance of the parking area is at the traffic light adjacent to Bird of Paradise. The North side entrance is located just north of ITMS and travels to the back parking lot of the school. Car riders will be picked up at the end of the school day only using the North entrance of the school, which is the same as last year. Our goal is to provide a safe environment which is conducive to learning. We want to insure that every student at Indian Trails Middle School is safe and has the opportunity for academic success. Our vision is to prepare all of our Mustang students for a successful high school experience. Student achievement is a collective responsible effort from supportive parents, dynamic lessons from professional educators and the outstanding efforts from our scholar students. We are all looking forward to an awesome 2010-2011 school year.
