Now is truly a great time to be a Mustang. As we return from our winter break, we extend a special 2012 Mustang welcome to our newest Mustang Administrator, Assistant Principal Mrs. Kim Gridley, who returns to Indian Trails after spending six years as an Assistant Principal at Matanzas High School. Mrs. Gridley will serve as Assistant Principal for our new 8th Grade Student Service Center, while Mr. Paul Peacock will take the helm as Assistant Principal for our 7th Grade Student Service Center.
Many wonderful things are happening at Indian Trails this year. Do you ever stop and wonder why? The answer is actually very simple: It's the people who make up our Mustang Community. Our students come from homes where education is valued; where parents are willing to sacrifice time and money to ensure their children have what is needed to excel. Our Mustang Parents refuse to settle for mediocrity from their children or their school. Our Professional Educators care enough about our Mustang Scholars to build positive relationships with each of them. These dedicated professionals make the difference between average and excellence. They are willing to put in the time and energy to improve their skills and work diligently to create lessons that are both exciting and intellectually challenging.
This holiday season, our band and chorus groups admirably represented Indian Trails in several concerts. Our parent sponsored SAC and PTO groups help to provide resources and support to our Mustang Scholars, Mustang Professional Educators and Staff. In addition, I am proud to announce that many of our Mustang Scholars are involved in after school clubs, activities and programs.
Indian Trails is an outstanding school, and I am very proud to serve as its Principal. We should never forget that it takes dynamic people working together make a school great. Please encourage members of the Indian Trails Community to follow the Big “3,” to strive for excellence and never settle for second best. If we share this common goal, Indian Trails will continue to be a great school serving a great community.
